There is a reason why the accuser is relentless about attacking those who ascend before the throne of grace, to the holy mountain of God. He, himself, had aspirations of doing the same thing at one time.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Isaiah 14:12-15 How you have fallen from heaven, you star of the morning, son of the dawn! You have been cut down to the earth, you who defeated the nations! But you said in your heart, \u201cI will ascend to heaven<\/strong>; I will raise my throne above the stars of God, and I will sit on the mount of assembly<\/strong> in the recesses of the north. I will ascend<\/strong> above the heights of the clouds; I will make myself like the Most High.\u201d Nevertheless you will be brought down to Sheol, to the recesses of the pit.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Twice, Lucifer, the star of the morning aspired to ascend to the heavens and above the heights of the clouds. He also aspired to sit on the mountain of assembly. <\/p>\n\n\n\n Now listen to this verse in Isaiah 2:2-3. Now it will come about that in the last days the mountain of the house of the LORD will be established as the chief of the mountains, and will be raised above the hills; and all the nations will stream to it. And many peoples will come and say, \u201cCome, let\u2019s go up to the mountain of the LORD<\/strong>, to the house of the God of Jacob; so that He may teach us about His ways, and that we may walk in His paths.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n We are in a time frame right now where we are being called up to the mountain of the Lord, to ascend to the heavens. It only stands to reason that the devil would be extremely upset at this invitation. It was part of the reason he fell. He tried to force his way into something that can only be encountered through union with Christ and love. So, what does the accuser do? Just like any spoiler, he opposes those who hear the call and accept the invitation.<\/p>\n\n\n\n The fullness of time for this word has just started to appear. Let those with an ear, hear what the Spirit is saying to the churches. He is calling us up, into union, into Christ, into heavenly places, to place of engagement with eternity and heaven, the cloud of witnesses, and the angels. <\/p>\n\n\n\n Revelation 4:1-2 NLT Then as I looked, I saw a door standing open in heaven, and the same voice I had heard before spoke to me like a trumpet blast.
